The Small Business Technology Guide is a resource providing you with the answers and strategies you need to make great technology decisions. Since new technologies are frequently introduced to the marketplace this guide will be updated periodically with the latest information. 

Getting Started with Podcasts
All you need is an Internet connection, a computer, and free podcasting software. You do not need to own an iPod or MP3 player to listen to podcasts. However, you do need one if you'd like to make your music portable. Podcasting software can be downloaded from such sites as iTunes. After installing the software, follow their directions to subscribe to your favorite podcasts. Once you've subscribed and downloaded the audio, you can transfer those files to your iPod or any other MP3 player, or you can just listen to them on your computer!

WHAT IS PODCASTING

Podcasting lets you download audio files from the Internet. A podcast is any audio, packaged as MP3 files, which is made available to you via a feed, called RSS (Really Simple Syndication). When you subscribe to a podcast, audio files are delivered to you automatically, much like your morning newspaper. And it's free!
